About Us

Mike and Carla tell about stepping over into Mexidonia to assist in the English preaching work as need greaters in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Recently we visited Chiapas and helped in the Tzeltal field. Follow Us On Our Journey.

After visiting Merida in late 2010 for the first English District Convention on the Yucatan peninsula, we decided to go back home to Maryland, further simplify our lives and make this move happen, stepping over into Mexidonia.

We would converse with anyone who had served out of the country and we were delighted by the response and experiences we heard. We did a lot of research before making our decision. Reading everything we could about serving where the need is greater. A WT article helped us to set a date for the move and that is when our choice really started to become real to us. We set late 2011 as our move date. We fixed up our house, put it up for sale and sold most everything we would not be bringing with us. This is what we were left with, our truck and our personal belongings.

Our newest adventure is taking us to Jol Tulija, Chiapas, Mexico where the locals speak Spanish and Tzeltal (Tseltal). Tzeltal came from Maya about 1500 years ago. They tell us it is easier to learn than English or Spanish. We will let you know. There is a huge need in the indigenous fields here in Mexico and other countries south of the border, where the ratio of witnesses to locals is often 1/2500 or more. Follow our experience here.

That's our story. Please enjoy reading about our Mexidonia Needgreater Experience.
